Falkirk Council has now opened the new Tenant Grant Fund, with funding made available by Scottish Government.

Groups and organisations supporting people struggling with rent arrears due to COVID-19 now refer them to the Tenant Grant Fund for help.

The fund aims to prevent homelessness and sustain tenancies, by providing one-off payments towards rent arrears caused directly by the pandemic. It is open to tenants of Falkirk Council, Housing Associations and private landlords, and is available until Thursday 31^st March 2022.

Either the tenant or landlord can ask to be considered for a payment; Falkirk Council can also take applications on the tenant’s behalf from a supporting organisation. They will then ask both tenant and landlord for further information before a decision is made. Any grant payment made does not need to be repaid.
