Falkirk Council are currently working on a new Local Housing Strategy (LHS) to cover the period 2017 – 2022. They are required by law to develop the LHS and engage with as wide a range of local residents as possible. This means Tenants and Residents Groups, Community Councils, local clubs, local families and individuals.
They would like to speak with people regardless if they own their own home, rent from a private landlord, the Council or a Housing Association or stay at home with their parents aslong as they reside in the Falkirk Council area.
For the LHS to be effective and work correctly, Falkirk Council need to listen to local residents. To do this, they are looking to engage with people living in the Falkirk area via their two online surveys, which can be accessed via the Falkirk Council website, or by clicking on the following links. It is important that you fill in the correct survey, one survey is for people under 35 years of age and the other is for those 35 and over.
The surveys want to identify the main housing priorities people feel are most relevant for the Falkirk area, and are open for response until Friday 30th September.
If you would like to receive a paper copy of the survey, or a copy in a different format or language, please contact the Strategy and Development Team by phone: 01324 590797 (option 2), or email: strategic.housing@falkirk.gov.uk
