Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) has updated the eligibility criteria of the Restart/Start Up Grant associated with the Community Opportunities Resource Pack, and will no longer include backdated costs.
Groups and organisations applying to the grant should download and submit the new application form (linked for your convenience).
The resource pack (designed by Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP), in partnership with CVS Falkirk) is designed to make it more straightforward for people to get involved in leading projects and activities in their local community.
Funding
Groups can apply for up to £500 to support costs associated with restarting or starting activities. Funding may be used to cover a one-off venue hire cost, and can be spent on items such as PPE equipment, new equipment such as coffee urns or folding chairs.
PLEASE NOTE: It should be noted that this is not an ongoing source of funding and so should not be relied on for ongoing venue hire.
New groups will need a constitution to open a bank account in order to apply.
To apply for the Small Grants funding, please download the new application form as a Word document (linked for your convenience) and return by email: funding@falkirk.gov.uk
Resource Pack
The pack is designed to help whether you are beginning your journey in setting up a local group or organisation, or restarting after COVID-19 and lockdown, and is full of sample policies, templates and risk assessments, which can be amended as needed.
Community-led support projects give everyone the opportunity to socialise and take part in regular, enjoyable and meaningful activities.
Many of these groups, projects and services are entirely volunteer-led, and often begin with someone seeing a need in their own community and feeling compelled to take action.
Both CVS Falkirk and Falkirk HSCP are keen to encourage and support these groups, especially given the impact COVID-19 has had on people and communities across Falkirk. We know that running these community services and projects is lot of work, and we want to support those involved as much as we can. This resource pack is intended to give people the information, tools, and resources to get started, or restart, including the associated funding.
The resource pack contains:
- support and guidance on recruitment of volunteers
- a sample volunteering policy
- a sample Health and Safety policy
- risk assessment templates, including a COVID-19 risk assessment
- links and examples of existing community resources
To view or download the resource pack as a Word document, please visit the Falkirk HSCP website.
