Following the Getting It Right For Every Child (GIRFEC) refresh launched by Scottish Government in September 2022, Falkirk’s Child Protection Committee will deliver a series of multi-agency practice learning sessions in March 2023 for all front-line staff who undertake assessments of need with children and young people. Sessions will take place in-person at The Foundry, 4 Central Park, Central Boulevard, Larbert, FK5 4RU, on the following dates:
- Friday 17th March: 9:30am – 12pm, and 1:30pm – 4pm
- Monday 20th March: 9:30am – 12pm, and 1:30pm – 4pm
- Tuesday 23rd March: 9:30am – 12pm, 12:30pm – 3pm, and 3:30pm – 6pm
The sessions will look at the refreshed guidance and the Lead Professional Assessment and Child’s Plan.
The learning sessions will be facilitated by Stephen Henderson from Reconstruct Scotland and places are free but must be booked in advance. Learners interested in this opportunity are urged to apply for their space as soon as possible.
