There’s now only ONE WEEK TO GO until our 2019 Funders Fayre (held in partnership with Falkirk Council), on Tuesday 5th March! We thought we’d take the opportunity to highlight our more of our stallholders who are attending for the first time this year, including:
- CharityBee
- Community Shares Scotland
- Paths for All
Falkirk Funders Fayre 2019 takes place at Bowhouse Community Centre, 130 Bowhouse Road, Grangemouth, FK3 0EU, and is designed to give third sector, charity and voluntary organisations the opportunity to meet with a range of diverse funders and to learn about the various grant funding schemes available.
Our guests from Crowdfunder Scotland will be delivering this year’s presentation, which will detail what crowdfunding is and its benefits, along with Crowdfunder Scotland and their partnership with LEADER.
To book your place at the presentation, or further information, contact Tariq Mahmood by phone: 01324 692004, or email: tariq@cvsfalkirk.org.uk
Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and to obtain information on how to apply and learn about the criteria funders use when assessing applications. Some of our new stallholders include:
- CharityBee:
CharityBee offers third sector organisations advice and support relevant to the sector, including around demonstrating compliance, delivering more with limited resources, and saving money. They have designed a new portal in order to provide bespoke advice and business support across the sector.
- Community Shares Scotland:
Community Shares Scotland aims to raise awareness of the community shares model and support communities who wish to raise money this way. The programme is funded until 2020 by the National Lottery Community Fund Scotland (formerly the Big Lottery Fund Scotland) and the Scottish Government. It is delivered by the Development Trusts Association Scotland (DTAS), affording access to a strong network of community organisations across Scotland.
Support is available to guide communities through every step of the share offer process; eligible organisations can also access funded consultancy to help develop their business plan and share offer, and a grant to help promote their share offer within their community.
- Paths for All:
Paths for All is a partnership of organisations, which aims to promote walking for health and the development of multi-use path networks in Scotland. They fund community path projects to ensure that everyone has access to good quality, multi-use and accessible places to walk and be active.
Their grant schemes are open to any constituted community group who have their own bank account. Community organisations and registered community charities such as community councils, development trusts and community woodland groups working in Scotland can all apply for funding with Paths for All.
