Falkirk Community Trust Board Directors

Falkirk Community Trust are looking for 2 Board Directors with significant business experience, who also have interest in the development and delivery of culture and sport services in the Falkirk area.

This provides an opportunity for individuals to be a key influence in the direction of the company.  These individuals should have knowledge of good business practice, and awareness of the requirements of being a Board Director.

The Board has a full programme of training and support.  Induction will take place before the Director formally takes up the post.

Sacro FREE Volunteer Recruitment Event

Sacro are holding a FREE volunteer recruitment event on Tuesday 19th February, 3pm – 7pm at their office, 29 Albany Street, Edinburgh, EH4 5DS. Sustrans “I Bike” Volunteers

Sustrans are currently looking for volunteers in the Falkirk area as part of their “I Bike” project, particularly Cycle Ride Leader volunteers. They are particularly looking for volunteers who would be interested in helping with the led rides; to support this role, Sustrans have organised upcoming Cycle Ride Leader training on Saturday 23rd March, for those who would like to volunteer on a more formal basis.

Young Start Fund: Applications Open

The National Lottery Community Fund Scotland (formerly the Big Lottery Fund Scotland) is inviting applications from third sector organisations for its Young Start fund. Grants of £10,000 – £100,000 are available for projects helping young people aged 8 – 24 years old overcome barriers to realise their potential.
