Participants will spend their spare time taking part in activities like rock climbing, mountain biking, archery and abseiling. There will also be opportunities to play all kinds of sports, as the Army Cadet Force has competitions for both boys and girls at Battalion, Regional and National levels.

Participants will learn a wide range of transferable skills such as the ability to command tasks, make decisions under pressure, plan and organise tasks, and work as an effective team player as well as independently.
Through the cadet training, participants can also gain qualifications such as the Duke Of Edinburgh’s Award, SCQF Level 5 Leadership or ILM Certificate in Team Leading.
