SUMMARY:Human Rights Day 2025
DESCRIPTION:In recognition of Human Rights Day today\, Wednesday 10 December 2025\, CVS Falkirk & District is joining the global campaign led by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR)\, which calls on people and organisations everywhere to uphold the values set out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights – dignity\, equality\, respect and safety for all. \nAcross Falkirk District\, many third sector groups and organisation already champion these values and rights every day by supporting people\, promoting inclusion\, and responding to inequalities. As part of this year’s Human Rights Day campaign\, we are sharing a collection of helpful resources which may support groups and organisations dealing with heightened community tensions and discord arising in their communities. These materials focus on building respectful dialogue\, challenging misinformation\, and strengthening cohesion – all central themes of the global campaign. \nWe are also sharing information on Hate Crime and Third Party Reporting\, so people know how to seek support and protection when their rights to safety and dignity are threatened. \nFor further information\, please see the resources below. DESCRIPTION:CVS Falkirk & District invites you to attend the final Health and Wellbeing Forum of 2025\, taking place on Wednesday 10 December\, 10am – 12pm\, via Microsoft Teams. \nThe session will include an update from James Paterson (Policy and Research Officer\, Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP)) on early work to gather third sector and community views to inform the development of the next Falkirk HSCP Strategic Plan (due for completion in 2026). This is an initial exploratory stage\, and an opportunity for the sector to learn more about how to engage in the process. \nWe will also spend some time looking at how we present and communicate the impact of third sector activity in local health and wellbeing work.
