DESCRIPTION:Wednesday 21st October is the first birthday of the Young Carer Grant. \nThe Young Carer Grant is a £305.10 payment available on an annual basis for 16 – 18 year olds who spend an average of 16 hours a week caring for someone who receives a disability benefit. \nYoung carers can spend the money on anything they want\, from driving lessons to clothes or a subscription to a music or video streaming service. \nIf it has been a year since they received a payment\, young carers are encouraged to check if they’re still eligible and apply again. \nTo apply or reapply\, or for further information\, please visit the Young Carer Grant page.
