SUMMARY:“We’re Here Too” 2016 Events for Older People
DESCRIPTION:Following on from their 2015 events\, Outside the Box are hosting a new “We’re Here Too” event for older people on Tuesday 15th November\, 10am – 3:30pm at the Forth Valley Sensory Centre\, Camelon. \n“We’re Here Too” aims to bring together people (including older people themselves) who want to see more opportunities where all older people are able to participate in the issues that interest them.  They want to tackle social isolation and help prevent older people from feeling as though they are no longer part of their community\, and that their views don’t matter. \nThis event will focus on three themes: \n\nbuilding stronger links between people living in care homes and other supported settings\, and people in their local communities\nkeeping active\nwhat works for older people in Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities\n\nTea\, coffee\, cake and lunch will be provided at the event. \nTo book your place at an event\, please contact Alice Charlton by phone:  0141 419 0451\, or email: alice.otb@outlook.com \nFor further information\, including venue access by public transport\, along with documents and reports from previous “We’re Here Too” events\, visit the Outside the Box website.
