DESCRIPTION:Volunteers’ Week 2025 is fast approaching! Taking place Monday 2 June – Sunday 8 June\, our Volunteering Team is planning a busy week of events and visits. \nBelow are the activities we have planned to celebrate the amazing contribution of volunteers in Falkirk District: \nVolunteers’ Week 2025 Display at Forth Valley College\nKicking off our celebrations\, on Monday 2 June we will be setting up a Volunteers’ Week display at Forth Valley College in Falkirk\, showcasing the amazing things volunteers do\, and encouraging people to find out more and get involved. The display will be in place throughout Volunteers’ Week. \nVolunteer Awards Ceremony 2025\nOn Tuesday 3 June\, we will be welcoming back our Volunteer Awards Ceremony! Taking place at the Macdonald Inchyra Hotel in Polmont\, we will be celebrating the amazing contribution that volunteers make across Falkirk District. Keep an eye on our socials to see the Award winners! \nVolunteer Visits\nOn Wednesday 4 June\, we will be popping in to visit some volunteers in action\, thanking them for their efforts at Braveheart’s Hub in the Howgate\, Denny’s Snowdrop Café\, and more! \nScottish Parliament’s Cross-Party Group (CPG) on Volunteering\nOn Thursday 5 June we will be heading to Edinburgh for a special Volunteers’ Week CPG Volunteering meeting at Scottish Parliament. The meeting will focus on the wellbeing benefits of volunteer participation and is a great opportunity to showcase the important contribution of volunteers to MSPs – watch out for our summary! \nGrangemouth Volunteer Drop-In\nOn Friday 6 June\, 10am – 3pm\, we will be hosting a Volunteer Drop-In and Information Stall at our Grangemouth Community Hub\, 65A La Porte Precinct\, Grangemouth\, FK3 8AW. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in volunteering to stop by and hear about local groups looking for volunteers to help them make a difference. \nFalkirk Producers Market Volunteer Stall\nOn Saturday 7 June\, 10am – 4pm\, we will be hosting a stall at Falkirk Producers Market in Falkirk town centre!
