DESCRIPTION:In recognition of the challenging times we have weathered together over the last year\, and the unprecedented impact volunteers have had in our local Falkirk communities\, for this year’s Volunteer’s Week we’ve decided to do something extra special! \n(Image caption: yellow-green banner reading “Celebrating in Falkirk!” Click on the banner for full size\, or continue reading for further details.) \nCVS Falkirk would like to celebrate the wonderful volunteers and community members\, who do so much for Falkirk\, with a brand new digital Volunteer Awards Ceremony for 2021\, during Volunteers’ Week (Tuesday 1st June – Monday 7th June). Volunteers’ Week highlights the variety of volunteering throughout Scotland\, celebrating the time and effort given by the unsung heroes who give back to their communities – not for their own benefit\, but for other people\, and especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. \nVolunteer Awards Ceremony\nWith this in mind\, we’d like to invite local people\, organisations and groups to nominate the volunteers they think deserve recognition for their exceptional efforts. The winner for each category will be chosen by an independent panel and will receive a surprise gift to enjoy\, with prizes donated by local businesses including Mango and Sanam. \nThe Award categories are: \n\nVolunteer of the Year\nYoung Volunteer of the Year\nCOVID Volunteer Award\nInnovative Volunteer Award\n\nThe deadline for nominations to the awards is 11:59pm on Sunday 9th May. \nIf you’d like to nominate one of your volunteers\, or if someone in your community deserves special thanks for their volunteering efforts\, or for helping out during COVID-19 and you’d like to say thank you – please NOMINATE SOMEONE FOR THE VOLUNTEER AWARDS 2021 BY CLICKING THIS LINK. \nCelebrating Volunteering Certificates\nLocal groups and organisations can now request our Celebrating Volunteering Certificates for their volunteers.  The certificates will be professionally printed\, and delivered by the CVS Falkirk team (safely and within all current restrictions) in the week leading up to Volunteers’ Week. \nAll certificate requests must be received by 11:59pm on Sunday 9th May\, via the online form below. \nRequest your group’s CELEBRATING VOLUNTEERING CERTIFICATES BY CLICKING THIS LINK TO THE ONLINE FORM.
