DESCRIPTION:Volunteer Expo will hold their annual national event for volunteers online this year\, on Friday 7th May – Saturday 8th May. The free event aims to connect volunteers\, organisations and the third sector to harness the power of volunteering. \nSpeakers this year will include broadcaster\, TV presenter and adventurer Ben Fogle\, Katie Thistleton (BBC Radio 1 presenter and author)\, Matt Hyde (Chief Executive of the Scouts)\, and heavyweight boxer and mental health campaigner Frank Bruno. \nVolunteer Expo Online is suitable for for all ages\, including those looking to make their first steps into volunteering\, or for those already actively volunteering. \nSome of the highlights of the event include: \n\nVirtual Exhibition: featuring third sector groups and charities\, and other not-for-profit organisations\nWorkshops and Seminars: a chance for attendees to network with peers\, meet potential supporters and discover how they can help a cause they care about\nFor Young People: specific sessions and activities available for young volunteers\, or young people interested in volunteering\nVirtual Awards Ceremony: taking place Wednesday 30th June to recognise volunteers who have changed lives and achieved extraordinary things\n\nFor further information\, including how to book your place\, please visit the Volunteer Expo website.
