SUMMARY:Understanding Transgender Peoples’ Experience of Domestic Abuse
DESCRIPTION:LGBT Youth Scotland has funding to provide free training on Understanding Transgender Peoples’ Experiences of Domestic Abuse in Edinburgh on 21st May\,  9:30am – 4pm. The venue will be confirmed closer to the time. \nTraining will cover: \n\nunderstanding transgender identities\, language and terminology\nthe impact of transgender people’s experiences of domestic abuse\nhomophobia\, biphobia and transphobia\, and the impacts on transgender people’s experiences of abuse and services\ngood practice when working with transgender people\, including signposting\n\nThe training is aimed at statutory workers in health\, housing\, policing\, the criminal justice system and social work\, as well as third sector organisations providing support\, advice or information. \nTo register your interest\, please complete the online booking form. \nAlternatively\, for further information\, please contact Janice Stevenson by email: Janice.Stevenson@lgbtyouth.org.uk
