DESCRIPTION:Volunteer Scotland is hosting an in-person training session\, “A Complete Guide to PVG & Your Signatory Role”\, on Wednesday 13 August 2025\, 10am – 4pm at Volunteer Scotland’s office\, Jubilee House\, Forthside Way\, Stirling\, FK8 1QZ. \nThe training covers all aspects of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and will provide attendees with the information required to process PVG scheme applications for their organisation. It is designed to support all Lead and Additional signatories\, whether attendees are new to this role\, about to step into the role or are interested in finding out more about what the role of being a signatory involves. \nThe session will cover: \n\nwhat is a signatory and what your responsibilities are\nhow the PVG scheme is governed by the Code of Practice\nthe PVG scheme process (covering applications and viewing results)\nresources available to help\nwho needs to have a PVG scheme (regulates roles with children and/or protected adults) and your legal requirements\nyour recruitment process and linking in PVG scheme disclosures\nreferrals process – how and when you need to make a referral to Disclosure Scotland\n\nThe session free\, but booking is required.
