SUMMARY:Together for Our Planet Info Session
DESCRIPTION:The National Lottery Community Fund’s (NLCF) “Together for Our Planet” programme offers grants of £1\,000 – £10\,000 to support communities across the UK to take action on climate change. \nThe programme aims to build on interest and excitement for November’s 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow\, and nurture and develop local ideas\, supporting a legacy of ongoing climate action projects in hundreds of communities across the UK. \nEligibility\nThe following groups are eligible to apply\, based anywhere in the UK: \n\nconstituted group or club\nvoluntary or community organisation\nregistered charity\ncharitable incorporated organisation (CIO/SCIO)\ncommunity interest company (CIC)\nnot-for-profit company\nschool\, college\, university (as long as your project benefits and involves the wider local communities)\nstatutory body (including town\, parish and community council)\ncommunity benefit society\n\nProjects and applications should reflect what matters to their communities\, and can be small\, covering areas like: \n\nfood\ntransport\nenergy\nwaste and consumption\nthe natural environment\n\nHowever\, groups do not have to be an expert in these areas to apply; they are keen to hear from those starting to think about taking action. \nInformation Session\nThey are also holding online information sessions\, with the next taking place on Tuesday 21st September at 11am.
