DESCRIPTION:The deadline for applications to the annual Social Enterprise Awards Scotland has been extended! Applications are now due by 9am on Monday 10th July. \nThe awards\, organised by Social Enterprise Scotland each year\, celebrate the incredible work and impact of social enterprises across Scotland. They aim to provide an opportunity to showcase the very best of the social enterprising sector\, highlighting the agility\, ability\, and active role social enterprises play in building places\, supporting communities\, and making a positive impact on environment and wellbeing. \nThree new categories have been introduced for 2023: “Building Diversity\, Inclusion\, Equity and Justice Award”\, “Tech for Good Award”\, and “Social Enterprise Volunteer Champion Award”. \nAs a result\, there are now 9 awards categories: \n\nSocial Enterprise of the Year Scotland\nOne to Watch\nEnvironmental Social Enterprise\nSocial Enterprise Building Diversity\, Inclusion\, Equity & Justice\nHealth & Social Care Social Enterprise\nTech for Good: Technology Social Enterprise\n“Buy Social” – Market Builder\nSocial Enterprise Employee Champion\nSocial Enterprise Volunteer Champion\n\nOrganisations can be nominated\, or can apply themselves to enter the awards. Winners will be announced at an evening ceremony at Scottish Parliament on Thursday 26th October. \nSocial Enterprise Scotland has also created a series of resources to help with creating an application\, including Top Tips and guidance: \n\n“Handy Top Tips to help craft a successful application: create a winning entry\nBenefits of entering: list of prizes and benefits\nGuidance: helpful notes for applicants\, including applying for more than one category!\nMeet and hear from previous winners via our winner’s spotlight blogs: read more about the advantages both as part of the application process and in winning an Award\nWatch previous winner’s videos: be inspired by past winners”\n\nFor further information\, including how to apply\, please visit the dedicated Social Enterprise Awards website.
