SUMMARY:Smoking and Mental Health: Understanding the IMPACT Training
DESCRIPTION:The next online “Smoking and Mental Health: Understanding the IMPACT” training session from NHS Forth Valley takes place on Wednesday 14th September\, 10am – 11am\, via Teams. \nThe training is aimed at NHS\, local authority and third sector staff and volunteers who support people with mental health problems. “Understanding the IMPACT” aims to equip those supporting people with lived experience of mental health with the knowledge\, skills and confidence to initiate a conversation about smoking\, and to discuss options for supporting those who are ready to quit. \nThe training includes 2 e-learning modules (an hour’s work\, to be completed prior to the training session)\, and the one hour training session on Teams\, which covers: \n\nthe effect of smoking on mental health medications\ndiscussions about smoking and mental health\ninformation on e-cigarettes\ninformation on local services to help people stop smoking\n\nTo book your place\, or for further information\, please complete the online form via the Health Promotion Service Training Brochure.
