DESCRIPTION:Self Directed Support (SDS) Forth Valley is holding training sessions throughout the year at the Dundas Resource Centre\, Oxgang Road\, Grangemouth\, FK3 9EF\, with August sessions including: \n\nSDS Pathway & Carers Pathway\n\nTuesday 8th August\, 10am – 11:15am\nWednesday 16th August\, 1:30pm – 2:45pm\nTuesday 22nd August\, 10am – 11:15am\n\n\nOutcomes & Support Planning Workshop\n\nThursday 10th August\, 10am – 12pm\nTuesday 15th August\, 1:30pm – 3:30pm\nFriday 25th August\, 10am – 12pm\n\n\nEmployment Law for Personal Assistant (PA) Employers\n\nWednesday 23rd August\, 10am – 11:30am\n\n\n\nSelf-directed support is supported by the Social Care (Self-directed Support) (Scotland) Act 2013\, and ensures people eligible for social care support can have greater choice and control over how they receive these services. This means care services can be “personalised” to their individual needs and wishes. \nPlease note that the Pathway sessions are best suited to those looking for general information and awareness on self-directed support; the Outcomes and Support Planning Workshops\, and Employment Law session\, are more suited to those already on\, or just starting their self directed support journey. \nAll sessions are free\, but space is limited\, and booking is essential.
