SUMMARY:SEFS Good Practice Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Shared Assets has organised a free workshop for social enterprises in Scotland trying to scale up work on healthy and sustainable food. \nTaking place on Monday 5th February\, 10am – 12pm\, at Gathering Ground CIC’s offices\, Old Basin House\, 5 – 7 Applecross Street\, Glasgow\, G4 9SP\, the Social Enterprises and Food Systems Good Practice Workshop is part of Shared Assets’ work on the Social Enterprise as a Catalyst for Sustainable and Healthy Local Food (SEFS) research project. The workshop aims to provide an opportunity for social enterprises to learn from each other about what has worked well regarding scaling\, any remaining challenges\, and the support needed for social enterprise activities around sustainable and healthy food. \nThe SEFS project is led by Middlesex University and the University of Surrey\, with Shared Assets as a partner. The project is exploring how social enterprises working in a range of sectors can help transform the UK’s food system to one in which nutritious and sustainably-produced food is available to everyone. \nAs part of the project\, Shared Assets is working with social enterprises across the UK to develop a “good practice guide” for other social enterprises interested in scaling their activities around food\, so they can have a greater impact in their communities. This workshop will tie into the guide\, with participants and their feedback helping co-develop the final version. \nBooking is essential; there is also a limited amount of funding to help those who would otherwise not be able to attend. \nTo book your place\, or for further information (including support to attend)\, please visit the Eventbrite page.
