SUMMARY:SDS National Voice 2021: "The Quality Approach" Conference
DESCRIPTION:Self Directed Support Scotland (SDSS) is holding their annual National Voice conference online on Wednesday 17th March\, 9am – 3:30pm. \n“SDS National Voice 2021: The Quality Approach” aims to help people involved in Self-directed Support (SDS) at all levels\, including those who want to influence the delivery of health and social care. \nThe event is designed to be as accessible as possible\, and British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters will be available. \nIn attendance will be a number of organisations at the centre of SDS development\, including Scottish Government\, local authorities\, Disabled Peoples-led Organisations (DPOs)\, and SDSS membership organisations. \nThe event will include presentations with the opportunity to ask questions about the Independent Review of Adult Social Care\, Social Work Scotland’s Standards for SDS and the “My Support\, My Choice” national research. There will also be workshops with a focus on (amongst others): \n\nlocal SDS Strategies\nbrokerage\nSDS legislation and guidance\ncommunity-led support\nmental health\nout of area support\nthe Independent Living Fund\n\nTickets for the event range in price from £15 – £50; however\, people who have a disability\, or people who use support services\, are eligible for a free place. \nTo book your free place\, please contact SDSS by email: info@sdsscotland.org.uk \nAlternatively\, if you are not eligible for a free ticket and would like to attend\, visit the Eventbrite page for priced ticket options.
