SUMMARY:Scrutiny of the Visitor Levy (Scotland) Bill: Deadline for Views
DESCRIPTION:The deadline for submissions to the Call for Views\, and the online conversation\, on Scottish Parliament’s Scrutiny of the Visitor Levy (Scotland) Bill has been extended until Friday 15th September. \nThe Bill allows local authorities to introduce a charge on overnight stays in some types of accommodation (for example\, some holiday lets). The Bill is currently at Stage 1 of the parliamentary process\, where views are gathered to help produce reports\, before MSPs debate the Bill in the Chamber. \nMSPs on Scottish Parliament’s Local Government\, Housing and Planning Committee are looking at the details of the proposals\, and want to know what people think about them.
