SUMMARY:Scottish Refugee Council “Involving Refugee Volunteers” Session
DESCRIPTION:CVS Falkirk is working with Friends of Scottish Settlers (FOSS) and the Scottish Refugee Council to bring a new session on refugee volunteering to Falkirk. \n“Involving Refugee Volunteers” takes place on Friday 22nd April\, 10am – 11:30am via Zoom. \nThe session focuses on the rights of refugees and people seeking asylum around volunteering\, barriers people face which can affect engaging with volunteering and opportunities\, and some hints and tips around how local groups and organisations can actively welcome refugee volunteers. \nGiven the way our communities have welcomed refugees across the Falkirk District\, this is a fantastic opportunity we’re delighted to be able to bring to the local third sector\, and we’d encourage anyone who wants to support refugees through volunteering to attend. \nFor further information\, including how to book your place\, please contact Lynsey Hansford by email: lynsey.hansford@cvsfalkirk.org.uk
