DESCRIPTION:Our upcoming Safer and Empowered Communities Forum takes place online via Zoom (linked for your convenience\, and below)\, 10am – 12pm on Wednesday 21st February. The theme of the meeting is “protecting and safeguarding adults against varying kinds of harm”. \nWe look forward to hearing from our guest speakers on: \n\nProtecting adults against harm – Gemma Ritchie (Adult Support and Protection\, Falkirk Council)\nThird party reporting process – Pamela Correa-Martinez (Central Scotland Regional Equality Council (CSREC))\nRaising awareness about Survivors of Human Trafficking in Scotland (SOHTIS) – Joy Gillespie (SOHTIS)\n\nAs a Forum\, we will also discuss what steps you need to take in your group or organisation to embed robust safeguarding processes to protect your volunteers and service users from harm.
