SUMMARY:Recognising Adult Volunteering Focus Group
DESCRIPTION:Research is currently being undertaken which looks into the need and desire to facilitate a national volunteering recognition scheme for volunteers outwith the age band of Saltire Awards.  As such\, CVS Falkirk will be hosting a focus group on Tuesday 27th June for local volunteer-involving organisations to discuss the demand for a national recognition scheme for adults volunteering\, and what it should look like. \nThe meeting will take place at the CVS Falkirk office\, Unit 6\, Callendar Business Park\, Falkirk\, FK1 1XR\, from 10:30am. \nShowing appreciation to our volunteers is essential\, and there are many different ways to show this appreciation\, through volunteer celebration events\, saying thank you and accreditation. \nIn Scotland\, there are the Saltire Awards\, which are endorsed by Scottish Government and recognise the commitment of volunteering by young people aged 12 – 25 years old.  However\, there is currently no such scheme for those over 25 years old. \n  \nTo book your place\, please contact CVS Falkirk by phone: 01324 692000\, or email: info@cvsfalkirk.org.uk
