SUMMARY:Real Living Wage 2022 Rates Announcement
DESCRIPTION:With UK inflation hitting a 40 year high last month\, the Living Wage Foundation has announced that they will be bringing forward this year’s announcement of the new real Living Wage rates to Thursday 22nd September. \nThis is in response to rapidly rising living costs\, which will be reflected in the new higher rates. \nThe Living Wage Foundation hopes that\, by bringing forward announcement of the rates\, Living Wage Employers can implement them sooner to best support their employees in these difficult times\, and in those ahead. They encourage employers who can\, to bring in the new rates as soon as possible. However\, employers have until May 2023 to implement them. \nKatherine Chapman\, Director of the Living Wage Foundation\, said: \n“Rising prices are eating away at all of us\, but nobody is feeling the pinch more than the 4.8 million low paid workers across the UK.
