SUMMARY:Quiet Waters Training: Comforting the Bereaved
DESCRIPTION:Quiet-Waters have announced a new 2 day course taking place in June: \n\nCreative Listening on Saturday 8th June\, presented by Maureen Smith\nComforting the Bereaved on Saturday 15th June\, presented by Sheila Rae\n\nBoth workshops will take place 10am – 3pm at their office\, 2 Glasgow Road\, Camelon\, FK1 4HJ (with registration from 9:30am). Each workshop complements the other\, but would also work as stand-alone sessions. \nThe workshops are suitable for anyone wishing to learn how to listen and accompany another on their journey through life\, or to increase their confidence when working alongside the bereaved. \nThe course would particularly benefit those working within a pastoral care setting\, as the aim is to equip people with the necessary understanding\, awareness\, attitudes and skills. \nThe course will involve presentations\, group work\, discussions and demonstrations; participants will also have the opportunity to practice their skills in order to apply the principles introduced on the course. \nCPD certificates will be available from both workshops. \nEach workshop has a cost of £45 (not including lunch)\, with the total cost of both workshops being £90; however\, Quiet Waters volunteers can attend for free. Payment should be made by cheque or BACS prior to attending. Places are limited to 20 per workshop\, and booking is essential. \nTo book your place\, request a registration form by email: beth@quiet-waters.org \nFor further information\, contact Quiet Waters by phone: 01324 630643.
