SUMMARY:No Knives\, Better Lives Programme Training Date
DESCRIPTION:YouthLink Scotland is running a new pilot project in Falkirk District\, aiming to create a new restorative community\, which will be the first of its kind in Scotland. \nNo Knives\, Better Lives (NKBL) is a prevention\, early intervention and education programme in Scotland. The programme aims to help youth workers and practitioners working with young people to empower those who may be at risk of youth violence to choose a better path\, supporting them to make more positive choices when it comes to knife crime and youth violence. \nYouthLink Scotland is working with local partners to pilot the community-wide restorative approach\, which aims to: \n\nimprove community wellbeing\nimprove inter- and intragenerational relationships\nbuild conflict resolution skills\nhelp community members find solutions to challenges\nrepair harm when things go wrong\n\nYouthLink Scotland is holding a training date on NKBL\, next Friday 27th October\, 9am – 3:30pm\, for practitioners working with young people in communities\, including education\, youth work\, health\, social work\, policing\, and third sector groups and organisations.
