SUMMARY:NHS Education for Scotland Trauma Framework Training Event (Afternoon)
DESCRIPTION:NHS Education for Scotland is holding 2 “Transforming Psychological Trauma Framework Trauma Skilled Level” training events on Tuesday 19th November at the Grange Manor Hotel\, Glensburgh Road\, Grangemouth\, FK3 8XJ. The first session will run 9:30am – 12:30pm\, and be repeated 1:30pm – 4:30pm. \nThe National Trauma Training Framework was published in 2017\, and the companion document the Training Plan was launched in July 2019. \nBy the end of the training\, participants should have: \n\nan increased understanding and insight into the impact of trauma and how it may affect people\nan increased awareness and knowledge of how people who have experienced trauma may present to services\nincreased skills and knowledge in recognising and working with people who have experienced trauma\nan increased understanding of trauma-informed practice and how it can positively impact on care and support for people\n\nThere will also be an opportunity to meet with colleagues from a range of settings and share experiences\, ideas and good practice. \nPlaces are extremely limited and booking is essential; the deadline for booking applications is Tuesday 29th October. \nTo apply for your place\, please visit the NHS Education for Scotland Portal\, and follow the instructions in the guidance document. \nFor further information\, or assistance with booking\, contact Freda Paterson by email: Freda.Paterson@nes.scot.nhs.uk \nAlternatively\, for further information\, view the training flyer.
