SUMMARY:New Multiply Numeracy Course
DESCRIPTION:The Larder\, in partnership with Falkirk Council\, has announced new dates for their free “Multiply” adult numeracy courses\, beginning on Thursday 15th February at the Grangemouth Municipal Chambers\, Bo’ness Road\, Grangemouth\, FK3 8AY. \nThe first course will run 9:30am – 12:30pm\, with the second course taking place 1pm – 4pm. \nFunded by the UK Government\, Multiply is a practical numeracy course for learners aged 19 years old and over who want to improve their numeracy skills to help them get the job\, college course or career they want\, or to become more confident in handling numbers in their everyday life. \nUsing real life examples\, based on the numbers encountered in daily life\, the 4 day course (one 3 hour session each day) will use budgeting\, personal finance\, measurements\, calculations\, and percentages (amongst others)\, to help learners brush up on their numeracy skills\, for now and the future. \nOn completion of the course\, each learner will receive a certificate from The Larder\, and receive their SQA certificate in the post at a later date. \nThese courses can either be run at Grangemouth Municipal Chambers\, or groups and organisation can arrange with The Larder to run the courses at their venue (or another venue agreed with The Larder); learners can be booked onto the course individually\, or organisations can block book a cohort of learners up to a maximum of 12 per group. \nTo make a referral\, please complete the online Microsoft Form (linked for your convenience). \nAlternatively\, for further information\, contact Garry Walker by email: training@thelarder.org
