DESCRIPTION:Sign ups for Scottish Government’s National Care Service (NCS) Regional Forum events are now live. \nThese events (taking place June – August) are part of the NCS development\, and aim to help Scottish Government learn more about the unique nature of social care support in local areas across Scotland\, through discussion on what people would like to see in the NCS\, and hearing from people with lived experience of social care support. \nThey will be hosting 9 in-person events across Scotland throughout the summer\, with another 5 online events for those unable to attend in person events for any reason: \n\nTuesday 20th June – Albert Halls\, Stirling\nWednesday 28th June – William Quarrier Conference Centre\, Glasgow\nFriday 14th July – Hilltown Community Centre\, Dundee\nTuesday 18th July – Stranraer Millennium Centre\, Dumfries and Galloway\nWednesday 26th July – The Corran Hall\, Oban\nTuesday 1st August – An Crùbh Community Centre\, Skye\nTuesday 8th August – Strathpeffer Community Centre\, Highland\nThursday 17th August – Isleburgh Community Centre\, Shetland\nTuesday 22nd August – The Inkwell\, Elgin\n\nOnline events take place on the following dates: \n\nThursday 24th August\nTuesday 29th August\n\nScottish Government is keen to speak to and hear from as many people as possible\, in order to build a National Care Service which meets as many needs as possible. \nEach event will be different\, focusing on co-designing the National Care Service\, with specific sessions on the following themes: \n\n“information sharing to improve care support”\n“keeping care support local”\n“realising rights and responsibilities”\n“making sure my voice is heard”\n“valuing the workforce”\n\nAttendees will have an opportunity to hear directly from local experts\, whilst also taking part in design and research activities related to their own experiences\, and using these to shape the future of community health and social care in Scotland. \nTo book your place at any event listed above\, or for further information\, please visit the Eventbrite page. \nFor further information on the NCS\, visit the Scottish Government webpages: \n\nNCS policies\nNCS collection
