SUMMARY:National Carers Week 2024: Mobilise Cuppas
DESCRIPTION:10-16 June 2024 marks Carers Week 2024 – a national event to recognise and celebrate the UK’s six million plus unpaid family and friend carers. To mark this occasion\, Mobilise are highlighting their Daily Virtual Cuppa events. \nMobilise is a movement led by carers\, for carers\, providing free\, personalised guidance and coaching – with the aim that nobody has to figure out a caring role on their own. They are entirely focussed on supporting unpaid carers\, rather than the person they look after. \nThe Virtual Cuppa Events are free 45-minute video calls where carers can connect with around 12 other people who are also looking after a loved one. There is no need to pre-register\, all you need to join is a device with access to the internet\, a microphone and speakers. A camera is useful but not essential. Every unpaid carer is warmly welcomed to join\, simply choose a time to suit you from the timetable: \n\nMonday 3rd June – 11am: Monday Motivation 💪\nStart the week together\nTuesday 4th June – 7:15pm: Chat and Connect 😊\nChatting about the things that matter to us\n​Wednesday 5th June – 4pm: No Cuppa\, Join our Mobilise: LIVE Event 📺\nThe live session will be on the ‘World of Multiple Caring Hats and How to Cope’\, exploring real carer stories and how they were able to survive wearing multiple caring hats along the way.\nThursday 6th June – 4pm: Energy Accounting – Next Steps 🪫\nReflecting on our days: identifying the things that drain our batteries and those that charge.\nFriday 7th June – 4pm: Friday Take-Over 🧑‍🚀\nHanding over the controls to one of the Mobilise community to bring a cuppa that is unique to them.\n\nFor further information\, and to join the cuppas\, please visit the Mobilise website.
