SUMMARY:Mental Health Strategy Engagement Event - Edinburgh
DESCRIPTION:NHS Health Scotland and Young Scot are hosting 4 half-day interactive engagement events across Scotland to gather views and help with responses to the Scottish Government’s 10 year vision to transform mental health.  The Edinburgh event will take place on Wednesday 14th September\, 10:30 am – 1pm at the CoSLA Conference Centre. \nThe Scottish Government has published a document summarising the proposed priorities for the new Mental Health Strategy.  These events will provide opportunities to explore and discuss the Scottish Government’s vision; NHS Health Scotland will then provide a summary report for the Scottish Government to consider alongside the comments received online. \nThe Minister for Mental Health\, Maureen Watt MSP\, will attend a number of these events where possible. \nThese events will be of interest to people of all ages with lived experience\, their carers\, and those using\, commissioning and providing mental health services\, along with the third sector\, NHS boards\, Health and Social Care Partnerships\, Integrated Joint Boards\, local authorities\, mental health officers\, and many others. \nYoung Scot will also hold an additional event specifically for young people\, though they are welcome to attend the main events too. \nTo book your place\, please visit the Eventbrite webpage.  Videoconference facilities are available at the CoSLA Conference Centre\, Edinburgh\, for those who cannot attend in person.  If you wish to use these facilities\, please note this on the registration form. \nFor further information about the events\, please contact NHS Health Scotland’s Mental Health Improvement Team by email:  nhs.healthscotland-MHI@nhs.net \nFor information about the young people’s event\, contact Young Scot by email: codesign@young.scot
