DESCRIPTION:In partnership with the Braes Store Foodbank\, CVS Falkirk’s next Maddiston Community Outreach Drop-In session will be Friday 22nd February\, 12pm – 1:30pm at the Salvation Army\, Main Road\, Maddiston\, FK2 0LU. \nThe drop-in will run alongside the Salvation Army’s new Baking Friday event\, with a range of information\, advice and support available on housing\, benefits\, and managing monthly outgoings and bills. \nThere will also be details on the different kinds of classes\, activities and support networks available in the local area. \nAttendees are invited to come along for a bite to eat and browse the information stalls on the day. \nBraes Store Foodbank works through referrals from social care organisations such as social work departments\, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)\, Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB)\, local schools\, churches and community councils. \nFood parcels are delivered once a week for a minimum of 6 weeks\, and further assistance can be provided for another 6 weeks if required\, via the initial referrer.
