SUMMARY:Local History Stories and Events with Strathcarron Hospice
DESCRIPTION:Following on from the success of their recent “Storytelling” and “Musical Memories” Zoom sessions\, Strathcarron Hospice has announced further dates for both\, along with a new session on Local History. \nThe sessions are designed to be very relaxed and informal\, providing some light relief each month from the current pandemic. They are open to everyone; you do not need to have a connection to the Hospice to attend. \nThe sessions all begin at 2pm via Zoom\, with the next taking place: \n\nMusical Memories: Thursday 8th July\, Thursday 12th August\, Thursday 9th September\, and Thursday 14th October\n\nThese sessions are led by Tommy\, a supporter of Strathcarron who has played in a band for many years and is keen to share his talents and love of music with others. \nTommy will play “Songs from the Decades” and encourage people to share any memories they have of the songs played. He will also welcome requests\, which he will slot into a varied set of traditional and modern favourites. \nPeople can sing along\, or simply sit and listen\, as they prefer. \nThe Zoom details (linked for your convenience) are the same for all Musical Memories sessions. (Meeting ID: 645 564 0456; Passcode: 252391.) \n\nLocal History Stories and Events: Tuesday 13th July\, Tuesday 17th August\, Tuesday 21st September\, and Tuesday 19th October\n\nKen has an incredible knowledge of local history and the stories behind events that happened in Central Scotland. He is delighted to share his passion of local Scottish history with everyone and answer questions about well-known historical moments\, and will also talk about lesser known facts. \nThe Zoom details (linked for your convenience) are the same for all Local Histories sessions.
