SUMMARY:Hepatitis See Visual Arts Workshops
DESCRIPTION:A series of visual arts workshops will be held as part of the Hepatitis See project at Falkirk Trinity Church\, Manse Place\, Falkirk\, FK1 1JN\, with the final taking place on Tuesday 4th July\, 12pm – 3pm. \nRefreshments and public travel expenses will be available. \nThe workshops are not only for those diagnosed as HCV+ but also for anyone who has been touched by a loved one’s diagnosis and will ask participants to express how Hepatitis C has affected their lives. \nLocal activist and artist Rebecca Wood will deliver an introduction and 3 workshops for people affected by Hepatitis C in Forth Valley. The workshops will help those affected to explore self-identity and stigma both perceived and real. A national and local exhibition will take place on World Hepatitis Day 2017\, Friday 28th July\, for those who wish to show their work from the workshops. \nThere is also a digital photography competition taking place until Friday 14th July.  Hepatitis Scotland are looking for submissions from people affected by Hepatitis C in Scotland.  Submissions should represent how the photographers experience attitudes of others towards them and/or how they view themselves as someone living with Hepatitis C. \nEntry to the competition is not restricted to those attending the workshops. \nTo book your place at any of the workshops\, or for further information\, please contact Petra Wright by phone: 07742407839\, or email: Petra.Wright@hepctrust.org.uk \nAlternatively\, contact Becky by phone: 07496170984. \nFor further information on the photography competition\, please visit the Hepatitis Scotland website.
