SUMMARY:Healthcare Improvement Scotland New Board Members Info Session
DESCRIPTION:Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS) is looking for 3 new members to join its Board. \nThey have identified priority criteria which are of particular importance to their current Board at this time. To be considered for these roles\, applicants must be able to demonstrate that they meet at least one of the following: \n\nexperience of working effectively across organisational boundaries and sectors to affect change\nmedical leadership experience as a clinician and at a strategic level\nknowledge and understanding of children and family issues in a health and/or social care and/or housing context\npersonal experience of health and/or social care and/or housing services as a service user\, patient or carer\n\nApplications are invited from a wide range of people who have an interest in public service and are committed to the NHS in Scotland. Applicants for public appointments must be legally entitled to work in the UK. \nHIS’ aim is to ensure that the people of Scotland experience the best quality health and care services. \nThe current remuneration is £171.74 per day. Board members will also receive reimbursement for all reasonable travel and subsistence costs and any reasonable dependant-carer expenses incurred whilst undertaking Board duties and for support required to help them carry out them duties effectively. \nThe time commitment will vary week to week\, but applicants must be able to make a firm commitment to spend 4 days per month (48 days per year) on Board business. The term of appointment will be for up to 4 years (with the possibility of reappointment for a second term\, not exceeding 8 years in total). \nHIS is holding an online Information Session about the board member roles on Wednesday 30th March\, 5:45pm – 6:30pm. To attend\, please contact Pauline Symaniak by phone: 07825 967156\, or email: pauline.symaniak@nhs.scot \nThe deadline for completed applications is 5pm on Friday 8th April. \nInterviews will be held on Tuesday 17th May\, Wednesday 18th May\, and Thursday 19th May\, and will be conducted via MS Teams. \nFor further information\, including how to apply and a full Person Specification\, please visit the Scottish Government website.
