SUMMARY:Getting Our Priorities Right in Forth Valley Training Session
DESCRIPTION:Forth Valley Drug and Alcohol Partnership are holding a two-day training session Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th February\, 9:30am – 4:30pm at Forth Valley College’s Stirling Campus\, Drip Road\, Stirling\, FK8 1SE.  Theses dates replace the earlier cancelled session. \n“Getting Our Priorities Right in Forth Valley” aims to help addiction\, social services\, health\, education and voluntary sector practitioners explore the various factors that should be considered when undertaking their “Getting Our Priorities Right” responsibilities with regards to children and families affected by parental substance use in Forth Valley. \nBy the end of this course\, participants will: \n\nbe familiar with the local and national policy drivers which shape service delivery in Forth Valley\nunderstand the underlying factors which may have contributed to a parent’s use of alcohol and other drugs\nrecognise the impact of parental substance use on the welfare\, development and protection of children\nappreciate the role ongoing assessment and analysis plays in keeping children and families safe\n\nTo book your place\, please contact Anita Dufton: anita.dufton@nhs.net or Heather Jolly: heather.jolly@nhs.net \nAlternatively\, for further information\, contact the Scottish Drugs Forum Administration Team by phone: 0141 2211175\, or email: enquiries@sdf.org.uk
