SUMMARY:Getting It Right for Every Child Interactive Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The Getting to Know “Getting It Right for Every Child” (GIRFEC) team at the ALLIANCE are holding a free interactive workshop on Monday 18th February\, aimed at practitioners who support children and young people with disabilities or long term conditions. \nThe workshop will take place 10am – 3:30pm at the Volunteer Scotland office in Jubilee House\, Forthside Way\, Stirling\, FK8 1QZ\, with tea and coffee available.  A light lunch will also be provided. \nAttendees will have the opportunity to hear the latest policy updates and access a range of resources to support the wellbeing of children and young people. \nPlaces are limited\, and booking is essential. \nIn the morning session\, there will be a brief update on progress with GIRFEC policy\, followed by an introduction to a range of ALLIANCE GIRFEC resources\, enabling practitioners to support families to work with local authority and health services to achieve the best outcomes for their children and young people. Hard copies of wellbeing resources for practitioners\, community organisations and children and young people will be available. \nIn the afternoon session\, there will be hands-on opportunities for attendees to consider how they would use these resources in their day to day work. \nBy the end of the workshop\, delegates will: \n\nbe informed of the latest development of GIRFEC policy\nbe familiar with the ALLIANCE GIRFEC “Training the Trainer” resources and language\ncontinue to support children and young people improve wellbeing using a variety of new resources\nfeel confident to use these resources to plan and evaluate their project activities focusing on wellbeing outcomes\n\nFor further information\, including how to book your place\, please visit the ALLIANCE website. \nThose wishing to attend should also advise of any dietary or accessibility requirements via the link above.
