SUMMARY:“Gathering Hope” Suicide Prevention Event
DESCRIPTION:Scottish Government’s Suicide Prevention team is holding a FREE event for charities and third sector groups and organisations working in suicide prevention across Scotland to come together\, network\, share learning\, and build connections. \n“Gathering Hope” takes place on Tuesday 23rd January\, 10am – 4pm at the Hilton Edinburgh Carlton\, 19 North Bridge\, Edinburgh\, EH1 1SD\, looking at the next stages of Creating Hope Together\, Scotland’s suicide prevention strategy and action plan (both linked for your convenience). \nOur team at CVS Falkirk would encourage any groups who received funding through the Falkirk Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund for Adults to attend where possible\, especially as places are limited. \nThe Gathering Hope event aims to provide an opportunity for Scotland’s third sector working in suicide prevention to hear from others about the opportunities and challenges of working in suicide prevention in Scotland\, focusing on what worked and what they learned from what didn’t. There will also be a chance to consider how the work attendees are involved in contributes to the actions in the delivery plan\, and consider how attendees and Scottish Government\, along with Suicide Prevention Scotland\, can effectively work in partnership to help achieve the outcomes. \nTo book your free place\, or for further information\, please visit the Eventbrite page.
