SUMMARY:Free MS Awareness Training Session
DESCRIPTION:Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is the most common disabling neurological condition in working-aged adults\, affecting over 150\,000 people in the UK. MS-UK aims to increase understanding of the condition and raise awareness of the support available to the MS community. \nIn addition to physical challenges like mobility\, balance\, and strength\, many people with MS experience invisible symptoms such as fatigue\, bladder or bowel issues\, and cognitive difficulties which can impact daily living\, employment\, and overall wellbeing. \nProfessionals play a crucial role in supporting those with MS. Aligned with this\, MS-UK is offering free MS awareness training sessions for professionals and volunteers. Taking place on Wednesday 21 May 2025 at 10am\, the session will cover: \n\nwhat is MS?\nmyths and preconceptions\nsymptoms that may impact on wellbeing\na lived experience of MS\nsymptom management tips\nthe kind of support that people with MS may need on their MS journey\n\nThis session is aimed at: \n\nhealth and social care workers\ncommunity-based professionals\nprofessionals who work for a charity or voluntary organisation supporting people with a disability\nsupport workers or home care workers\nprofessionals who work in health or social care\nteams that support people living with MS\n\nTo reserve your place\, please complete the booking form (linked for your convenience). \nFor further information\, visit the MS-UK website.
