SUMMARY:Free ASIST Suicide Intervention Training Course
DESCRIPTION:NHS Forth Valley Health Promotion Service is holding two free commissioned courses on Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training  (ASIST)\, taking place in-person on: \n\nCourse 1: Monday 16th January and Tuesday 17th January: BOOKING LINK\nCourse 2: Thursday 2nd February and Friday 3rd February: BOOKING LINK\n\nPlaces are limited\, and open to people living or working in Forth Valley. Attendance is required at both days of the course. \nASIST is a world-leading suicide intervention training programme\, teaching participants how to provide a skilled intervention and develop a collaborative plan to keep someone safe and alive. The learning process includes trainer presentations and powerful videos to stimulate discussion\, with extensive opportunities for skills practice; participants will be required to participate in the skills practice. \nASIST is a 2 day workshop suitable for those working in the community\, voluntary\, third or statutory sectors.
