DESCRIPTION:Are you a third sector employer? Do you currently offer\, or would like to offer\, placements\, internships or other employability opportunities in your community? \nDo you\, formally or informally\, support and enable people in your community to increase and develop their skills\, knowledge and opportunities for work? Would you like to explore and demonstrate how your group or organisation can contribute\, or already contributes\, to good employability outcomes for people in Falkirk District? \nJoin us for the Falkirk Third Sector Employability Summit\, 9:30am – 12:30pm on Thursday 24th August 2023 at Forth Valley Sensory Centre\, Redbrae Road\, Camelon\, FK1 4DD. The morning’s discussions will be followed by a light lunch and an opportunity for networking with colleagues\, the event is free to attend but booking is essential. \nThis event is for third sector groups and organisations\, including charities\, social enterprises\, community and voluntary groups\, who contribute to (or are interested in contributing to) Falkirk District’s employability aims and outcomes. \nBook you FREE space now via CVS Falkirk’s Eventbrite page. \nWhat Will Happen at the Event?\nParticipants will benefit from: \n\nhearing from relevant speakers about employability and employment related topics\nlearning more about the CVS Falkirk Third Sector Employability Forum\nparticipating in tabletop discussions with third sector colleagues\ncontributing to creating actions that will guide our work and the support we offer\nenjoying a light networking lunch (optional) – stay and chat or grab and go!\n\nPlease note\, you do not need to be an existing member of Falkirk’s Third Sector Employability Forum\, or an established employer or employability provider\, to come along to this event as all participants will receive an informative delegate pack prior to the event including more detail about all of the topics. \nFor any questions about the event including accessibility queries\, please contact Lynsey Hansford by email: lynsey.hansford@cvsfalkirk.org.uk \nHow Do I Get to the Event?\nForth Valley Sensory Centre is an accessible venue located at Redbrae Road\, Camelon\, Falkirk\, FK1 4DD. The venue can be accessed via public transport – it is a five minute walk from the closest bus stop and Camelon train station; there is parking available but we would encourage car-sharing with colleagues wherever possible if more than one person from your organisation is attending.
