SUMMARY:“Fair Work Nation” Consultation Deadline
DESCRIPTION:Scottish Government’s public consultation on “Becoming a Fair Work Nation” is now live\, and open for responses. \nFair Work will be a key element within the forthcoming COVID-19 Recovery Strategy. Scottish Government’s vision\, shared with the Fair Work Convention\, is that by 2025\, people in Scotland will have a world-leading working life where fair work drives success\, wellbeing and prosperity for individuals\, businesses\, organisations and society. \nThe consultation seeks views on action needed to achieve this vision. \nIt provides an opportunity to inform Scottish Government’s Fair Work priorities\, particularly in the contexts of COVID-19\, EU Exit\, and in recognising the important role Fair Work can play in Scotland’s economic recovery and renewal\, and the ambition for making a just transition to a net zero and wellbeing economy. It will also seek views on how to ensure Fair Work continues to respond to and address labour market challenges and workplace inequality. \nScottish Government and their partners are keen to hear from people and groups from all sections of the economy – including employers and sectoral groups\, workers and their representatives and others – as well as wider civic Scotland\, and invite them to consider and share their views on the action they think needs to be taken\, by who\, in what timescales and with what sense of priority. \nAdditional background information and resources on Fair Work are available below (titles linked for your convenience): \n\nScottish Government’s Fair Work Action Plan\nFair Work First guidance\, which outlines Scottish Government’s Fair Work First approach and exemplifies the Fair Work First criteria in practice\nFair Work Employer Support Tool (for employers)\nFair Work Convention Self-Assessment toolkit (for workers)\n\nThe deadline for responses is Thursday 23rd December. \nTo submit your response\, or for further information\, please visit the Scottish Government consultation hub. Alternatively\, for further information\, read the consultation paper.
