Dementia in BME Communities Awareness Session

November 27, 2018 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

Free

The Central Scotland Regional Equality Council (CSREC) are holding their next FREE “Dementia in BME Communities” awareness session on Tuesday 27th November, 10:30am – 12:30pm at the Albert Halls, Dumbarton Road, Stirling, FK8 2QL, with registration at 10:15am.

The session will explore the impact of dementia upon people from Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities, the barriers that may prevent people from accessing support to live well with dementia, and what can be done to provide more inclusive dementia support services in the Forth Valley.

The session is open to people affected by dementia and their carers, members of the public, and public, private, and third sector workers.

The venue is completely wheelchair accessible; however, attendees with any accessibility requirements should advise CSREC of this when booking. Tea, coffee and light refreshments will also be provided.  Those with any allergies or dietary requirements are also asked to advise of this when booking.

Please note that places are limited, and booking is essential.

To book your place, or for further information, please visit the Eventbrite page.

Alternatively, view the session poster, or contact CSREC by phone: 01324 610950, or email admin@csrec.org.uk
