SUMMARY:COP26 Scottish Youth Climate Programme: Youth Worker Training
DESCRIPTION:Registration is open for free climate emergency training from Keep Scotland Beautiful aimed at Scotland’s youth workers and those working with young people (including volunteers). \nThe training – part of COP26 Youth Climate Programme – is open to workers aged 18 years old and over\, and designed to help participants develop an understanding of the climate emergency and equip them with skills and tools to help young people turn their concerns about climate change into positive action. \nParticipants who successfully complete the 3 modules can apply to gain Carbon Literacy accreditation through the Carbon Literacy Project. \nThe training takes approximately 7 – 8 hours\, with three 2 hour Zoom workshop sessions\, as well as some homework. There are multiple dates available for people to book on to the training; the training can either be completed in 3 weekly sessions or all in one day\, with all booking links below: \n\nThursday 11th\, Thursday 18th and Thursday 25th November: 10am – 12pm\nMonday 15th\, Monday 22nd and Monday 29th November: 2pm – 4pm\nTuesday 16th\, Tuesday 23rd and Tuesday 30th November: 10am – 12pm\nFull day course on Wednesday 25th November: 9:30am – 5pm\n\nThe COP26 Youth Climate Programme funded by Scottish Government\, and delivered by Keep Scotland Beautiful and YouthLink Scotland). \nFor further information\, please visit the Keep Scotland Beautiful website.
