SUMMARY:Connecting Volunteering Network
DESCRIPTION:Volunteering and volunteers have been the backbone of our local response to the impacts of COVID-19 in Falkirk since March 2020 and beyond\, with many volunteers turning their attention now to the work of recovery from the pandemic. The value of volunteering and the kindness of Falkirk folks has been visible like never before during this time\, and this is the foundation we have to build on now. \nAs a result\, CVS Falkirk is delighted to announce that the first meeting of the Falkirk Connecting Volunteering Network will take place on Thursday 21st April\, 10am – 11am\, via Zoom. \nThis is an opportunity to connect with others who volunteer and who work with volunteers to share successes and challenges\, to support each other\, and to plan how we can make volunteering in Falkirk bigger and better than ever. \nThe network is for anyone who is involved in volunteering in Falkirk\, whether they are a staff member or a volunteer\, whether they organise helping activites informally in their community or work with an established group or organisation. Our diversity of experience\, skills and knowledge is one of our key strengths here in Falkirk\, and the Connecting Volunteering Network is a space to share these for mutual benefit. \nThe agenda for the day will include: \n\nresources to help with engaging\, or re-engaging\, volunteers in the post-COVID-19 landscape\nrecent research about volunteering throughout the pandemic and how this can inform our work now\nhow to nominate your volunteers for certificates\, awards and more for Volunteer’s Week 2022\nan opportunity to share updates from your group or organisation and to let CVS Falkirk and fellow Network members know how we can help with current challenges\n\nFor further information\, or to let us know you’re coming along\, contact Eve Winters by email: Eve.Winters@cvsfalkirk.org.uk
