SUMMARY:Community Engagement in the NHS Online Workshops
DESCRIPTION:NHS Scotland has announced the launch of a new series of quarterly online workshops\, aimed at raising awareness and promoting understanding of community engagement within the health service. \nThe first session\, titled “What is Community Engagement in the NHS?”\, will be held via MS Teams on Thursday 26 June 2025\, 11am – 12pm. This introductory workshop will explore the fundamentals of community engagement\, its importance\, and the benefits of meaningful involvement from patients\, service users\, and the wider public. \nKey aims of the session include: \n\ndefining what “community engagement” means in a NHS context\nexplaining why engagement matters for effective healthcare delivery\nhighlighting the diverse ways people can get involved and influence NHS services\n\nThe initiative is designed to encourage open dialogue\, and ensure that communities have a voice in shaping the future of healthcare services. \nA poster promoting the event is available in pdf and jpeg formats (both linked for your convenience) and can be shared with colleagues\, volunteers\, and service users who may wish to attend. \nTo book your place\, please contact NHS Scotland by email: his.strategicengagement@nhs.scot
