DESCRIPTION:Challenge Poverty Week is a national event which aims to bring to public attention the reality of poverty in Scotland\, showing the impact it has on individuals and communities and addressing existing stereotypes. \nRunning Sunday 16th October – Saturday 22nd October\, Challenge Poverty Week is an opportunity to highlight what is being done to address poverty\, particularly by communities themselves.  The message running through events and community activities taking place is that poverty is not inevitable\, and that not only are people and organisations working to address poverty right now\, but there is far more that can be done in the future. \nThe Poverty Alliance have resources offering suggestions for events and activities which community organisations could organise as part of Challenge Poverty Week. \nFor further information\, please visit the Poverty Alliance website.
