SUMMARY:Carers Week 2021
DESCRIPTION:Carers Week 2021 takes place Monday 7th June – Sunday 13th June\, with a theme of “Make Caring Visible and Valued”. \nCarers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring\, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. It also helps people who don’t think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much-needed support. \nThis year\, carers across the country are continuing to face new challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Many people are taking on more caring responsibilities for their relatives and friends who are disabled\, ill or older and who need support. \nFalkirk and Clackmannanshire Carers Centre has organised a week full of online events and activities to celebrate carers of all ages and their efforts – the majority of these will take place via Zoom\, and support is available for anyone unfamiliar with Zoom. \n\nMonday 7th June: The Big Carers Week Raffle\n\n\nFor every weekday of Carers Week\, the Centre staff will draw a raffle winner for one of their prizes. Entry is free and open to all carers on the Centre’s mailing list or registered with the Carers Centre.
